Principal Investigator, ASAP Discovery Consortium 

  • $67M U19 grant awarded by NIH to develop a pipeline of antivirals against pathogens of pandemic concern.

  • One of the three PIs leading the consortium. I'm responsible driving early discovery.

2020-2022 

Principal Investigator, COVID Moonshot

  • AI-driven open science consortium focusing on discovering antivirals targeting SARS-CoV-2 Mpro. From cold-start to development candidate in 18 months.

  • Attracted $10M from the Wellcome Trust to transition into DNDi's drug development portfolio.

  • One of five PIs leading over 200 scientists; I was invited to present at the World Health Organization by the Chief Scientist.
